Design Registration in India
Design Registration is a form of Intellectual Property Right governed by the Designs Act, 2000. It protects the unique shape, configuration, pattern, ornamentation, or composition of lines or colours applied to an article through an industrial process.
Design registration safeguards the visual appearance of a product from imitation or counterfeiting and grants the owner exclusive rights over its commercial use.
